Unbelievable Feat: Discover What Was Moved Thousands of Miles to Saudi Arabia!

In a groundbreaking logistical achievement, India’s Express Global Logistics (EXG) has successfully executed a complex operation integral to advancing green energy initiatives in Saudi Arabia. This massive undertaking involved transporting enormous modules required for a significant green hydrogen project.

Each module was a colossal structure, weighing as much as 250 tonnes and measuring an imposing 50 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and 18 meters in height. The overall task involved moving 14 such modules with a combined weight approaching 1,500 freight tonnes.

EXG employed their cutting-edge Megaload fleet for this daunting task. This included advanced Scheuerle self-propelled modular transporters equipped with 48 axle lines, two power pack units, and custom spacers, all designed to manage these significant burdens effectively.

The transport process was managed with precision. Eight modules were securely loaded onto ships using the roll-on roll-off (RoRo) technique. Meanwhile, specialized transporter units transferred the remaining six modules to the jetty. At this stage, powerful crawler cranes were used to expertly lift the modules into their designated positions.

The entire operation unfolded seamlessly, showcasing EXG’s meticulous planning and adept handling of intricate challenges. Equilibrium during the sea journey was crucial, achieved through skillful vessel balancing.

Additionally, to enhance their operational capacity, EXG joined forces with the Italian company Fagioli in early 2023. This strategic partnership, known as the Megaload venture, sought to extend expertise in the petrochemical and construction sectors, further reinforcing EXG’s ability to manage extraordinary logistical challenges.
